Called to pray.

Jesus tells His disciples that the harvest is plentiful and the workers are few; that we are to beseech (to ask urgently and fervently) the Lord to send workers into His harvest. We are also called to pray for those who persecute us. Prayer is a powerful tool and a non-negotiable component to Gospel-driven mission service.

“By prayer we reach Him without whom work and money are alike in vain. We obtain the aid of the Holy Spirit. Money can hire workers. Universities can give learning. Congregations may elect. Bishops may ordain. But the Holy Spirit alone can make ministers of the Gospel, and raise up lay workmen in the spiritual harvest, who need not be ashamed. Never, never may we forget that if we would do good to the world, our first duty is to pray!” —J.C.Ryle

Called to give.

In Phil. 4:15-20, we see Paul thank the Philippian Church for their above and beyond generosity in giving to take care of his needs as he worked to advance the Gospel.

In the Sermon on the Mount (Matt.6:19-21), Jesus tells His followers to store up for themselves treasures in heaven.

Plainly stated, when Jesus is our treasure, we will commit our resources—our money, our time, our talents—to His work in this world.

What you give specifically to NWBC Missions will go toward the mobilization of missionaries around the world, supporting our ministry partners, and the training and equipping of the missions team here at Northwest.

Thank you for your generosity!

If Jesus Christ be God and died for me, then no sacrifice can be too great for me to make for Him.
